Week of February 4-8, 2019 - PRESCHOOL ENGLISH NEWS

Dear Parents of Preschool, Love is in the air! We welcome the month of February. Look for love in all things.♥️ •Next week: English Week~February 11-15 •I will have fun activities in class for all the Preschool English groups related to celebrating the love of books and reading. I credit all my successes in life to my love of learning, knowledge and my passion for reading! Creating an environment that promotes the love of reading for your children will guarantee great  success in their school life, as well as for life in general. My love of reading has been the great foundation of my education! The library will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair, so come on down, and support the school and your child's love of books! • PreKinder will be having an assessment regarding "What do you want to eat?" on Feb.12, using their book and identifying the foods on page 85. Week of January 28- February 1, 2019  - PRESCHOOL ENGLISH NEWS

Dear Parents of Preschool, The month of January is coming to an end, and we embrace the month of February this Friday. In the past month, I have come to care so much for my darling Preschool English students. They are for me truly an inspiration!   In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Every morning, with my classroom door wide open, the students come in with bright smiles and their eyes full of wonder.  We start the day with the "Good Morning" song, and we sing and dance together. Beginning the day with a positive attitude helps set the pace for the rest of their day! (Btw, mine too!) In Pre-Pre English , we continue with counting in English and naming different items to enhance their vocabulary. Week of January 22-25, 2019 - PRESCHOOL ENGLISH CLASS NEWS

Dear Parents of Preschool at Sacred Heart, Time flies when you’re having fun! We are into our third week since the second semester began, and it has been such a rewarding experience for me! In Pre - Pre English , last week we had a fun dynamic with counting up to the number 4 , using classroom objects and the tables in our classroom. This week, January 22-25, we continue with reviewing shapes , and specifically the square that has four sides, and the students will draw their home using a square shape on construction paper. In Pre-K English, last week we continued with our unit Foods We Like, using our workbook for class work and ending the week with the students creating their own plate of food, and naming the foods on it. We continue this week of January 22-25 with the unit, using our workbook, doing counting exercises with the food, as well as reinforcing vocabulary, retelling scenes related to family eating together and naming family members such as mother, father, grandfa...
